As the founder of Artful Learning, I believe in the power of merging artistry with education to ignite creativity, critical thinking, and personal growth. My focus is on providing impactful training, personalised tutoring, and bespoke art commissions to inspire and empower individuals on their learning journey.
My name is Dr Harriet Richmond, and I have over thirty years experience of teaching, learning and research in UK Higher Education, as a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department and now based at a Russell Group institution with responsibility for professional development programmes for research active academic staff. I received a PhD in Drama from the University of Birmingham, UK in 2018. My thesis examines the relationship between theatre design education, design and scenography practice and emergent professional identities of theatre designers by reconstructing the curriculum and pedagogy of a theatre design course that originated in the 1930s - the Motley Theatre Design Course - using visual and object elicitation research methods. I remain research active, and my research interests are the formation and development of professional identities, work-based and professional learning, and creative research methods, including arts-informed research, photo and object elicitation, and collage inquiry. I am one of the three co-founders of the Non-Traditional Research Methods Network (NTRM), founded in 2021.
Whether you are seeking professional development, academic support, or creative artistry, Artful Learning is here to guide you. Begin your transformative experience today.
